Raptors and Celtics move on to the second round:

The Raptors and Celtics moved on to round 2 and faced off in game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals on Sunday night. Both teams were off for a week, not only that, but there was a two-day hiatus as the players’ boycotting games due to the social injustice happening in the U.S.

I am not sure if the week off was a good or bad thing for the Raptor because they came out flat. More than that Pascal Siakam got himself into early foul trouble and things just unraveled from there.

Boston, on the other hand, had points from their entire starting five except for Daniel Thies. Boston never trailed and never gave up the lead. Toronto tried too make it close but just had no answer for Boston’s strong offence.

I am hoping that game two is not a repeat of game one, Toronto needs to come and score early and often and not just score but keep guys like Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown from getting easy baskets.

I also would like to see that Raptors to a better job on the glass both offensively and defensively. More importantly stop relying on just the three-point shot drive to the basket and get easy baskets.

Game two is on Tuesday; let’s see if the Raptors can come out better than they did in the first game of the series. If the Raptors go down 2-0 to the Celtics, they could be in trouble.
