How will the Season play out:
Monday, October 22, 2019, was opening for the NBA and its 2019-2020 season, but with it, there were many firsts, one of them being a banner raising north of the border as the Toronto Raptors not only raised their very first championship banner but also received their championship rings.
The other first of sorts was supposed to be the debut of first overall draft Zion Williamson. Unfortunately, an MCL injury will keep him out of play for 6 to eight weeks.
One of the other firsts going to the new NBA season was the Raptors playing without one of their key players in Kawhi Leonard, who decided his time in Toronto was over. It was time to go home and play for his hometown team in the Los Angeles Clippers; I feel though the Raptors are deep enough to defend their newly won NBA Title.
The Real Battle of Los Angeles Begins:
As I mentioned earlier, Kawhi is now apart of the Los Angeles Clippers; unfortunately, his partner in crime who Kawhi recruited in Paul George will not be available until the middle of November. But like the Raptors, the Clippers had something to prove and prove they did as they beat Lebron and Anthony Davis 112-102 now it’s only game 1 of 82.
Which of these two teams will be the one too rule Los Angeles. Personally I would like it to be the Clippers, simply put the Lakers have been in the limelight for too long.
The Lakers’ as a team have struggled ever since Kobe retired. Lebron being the face of the franchise needs, bring the Lakers back to respectability. On the other hand, the Clippers have been second fiddle to the Lakers, which also needs to change, and that is why Steve Ballmer went out and got Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
