Remembering an icon one year after his death:

It’s hard to believe that one year has already passed, and Kobe Bryant is still in the minds of everyone.

On January 26, 2020 Kobe his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and eight others were heading to a basketball camp, when suddenly the helicopter carrying all the passengers crashed.

It’s hard to believe that such a great person like Kobe is no longer with us.

Kobe came into the NBA at 18-years-old straight out of high school, drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1996 draft. He took the league by storm, very early in his career.

He surpassed Michael Jordan all-time in scoring, most playoffs games played, most all-star appearances, Kobe played 20 seasons in the NBA while Michael played 15.

There were always comparisons between the two about who was the best player. I would say they were both equally great in their own right.

Kobe’s dominance on the floor was something to see game in and game out. Opponents hated playing against simply because he was just that good.

There will never be a basketball player like him, well LeBron may come close, but LeBron will never replace Kobe.

Kobe will be always be remembered for his hard work and dedication he put into the game of basketball.

May he rest in peace.
