The Miami Heat move on to the Eastern Conference Championship after defeating the number one seed, in the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s hard for me to believe that team like the Bucks who stood first overall in the East is done.
Having watched the entire series from start to finish it looked as if Miami was the better team. But how is that possible? Milwaukee had the MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo there no way the Bucks could lose. Well they did and the Bucks lost to a strong team in the Miami Heat.
The Biggest factor in this series to me wasn’t Giannis it was Jimmy Butler especially in game one when Butler scored 40 points to give the Heat a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semis. Milwaukee didn’t have enough scoring to counter the heat, the Bucks relied on Giannis to carry the offensive load.
Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, and Kris Middleton just weren’t enough to give the Bucks the scoring punch they need. Whereas the Heat had Goran Dragic, Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson etc. I mean the Bucks were just completely outmatched and outplayed.
So now that the Bucks are out of the Bubble playoffs where do they go from here. Well I think they need to find more shooters to compliment Giannis, but I also think they another superstar to play with the Greek Freak. I think another superstar will definitely put the Bucks in contention for a Championship.
But we will have to wait and see how the offseason plays out as there are rumours that once free agency opens up, the Bucks are going to offer Giannis a Super Max contract, and honestly, why not? He is a franchise player but in saying that, I feel that the Bucks management needs to do more.
