Aldridge bids adieu to the NBA:

On April 15, 2021, La Marcus Aldridge bid his final adieu to the NBA, as he retired from the game of basketball due to health issues. Drafted in 2006 by the Chicago Bulls, Aldridge’s rights were traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Injuries had kept Lamarcus in and out of the Blazers throughout his time in Portland, but that didn’t stop him from making an impact.

2007-2008:

In his second season as a Blazer Aldridge achieved career highs in points assists and rebounds, he was also recognized as the most improved player. His offensive prowess continued in the 2014-2015 season.

Aldridge become the all-time leaders in rebounds in Blazers history as he recorded 10 in a game against Orlando Magic.

His time as a Spur:

In the summer of 2015 Aldridge was traded to the San Antonio Spurs, where he spent 6 seasons helping the spurs to the playoffs in 4 of the 6 season he spent in San Antonio. Unfortunately he could never get past the first round.

The Spurs bought out Aldridge’s contract and his became a free agent back in march of this year.

He signed with the Brooklyn Nets in the hopes of winning a championship but a heart issue forced him to retire.
